You are most welcome to join us at Holy Mass, whatever your faith, or if you are seeking another dimension to your life.
The Church of St John of the Cross is a vibrant, caring community; striving to serve God to the best of its ability – preparing the church, the altar, vestments, music, flowers; serving on the altar, administering the Eucharist, reading the word of God, visiting the sick, organising social events, or ensuring the effective function of the building and its environs;
All of this is with the guidance of our priest Father David.
All children, including visitors, are most welcome to take part in the children’s liturgy, which takes place during Mass every Sunday.
On Sundays in May and October, the Rosary is said at 8.30.
(Coffee is served after Holy Mass each Sunday.)
The church is open at least half an hour before Mass.
For other Mass times please see mass times link from the parish homepage
There is a thriving choir at St John’s, which, of course, still has room for more singers.
Choir practice is on Friday Nights at 7.00pm, under the tutelage of our musical director, Katie.
The church is used for social activities as well as worship.
There is a forum to discuss church matters every two months which all members of the church community are welcome to attend.
The Traidcraft stall is open monthly after Sunday Mass.
