TODAY is the First Sunday of Advent when we start our journey preparing for the coming of the Lord. Through Advent we will be praying the Angelus before the start of Mass – a beautiful prayer with a focus on the Incarnation. (Our Sunday Readings are now taken from Year A – Readers please note). If you were away last week then please pick up the Advent leaflet from the porch for details of Services in Advent and Christmas Mass times.
This afternoon at St John of the Cross, Aylsham, the annual Advent Service of Evening Prayer takes place at 4pm: an opportunity for the whole parish to come together at the start of our Advent Journey. This beautiful Service has been greatly appreciated over the past few years. Do offer lifts to those who may not otherwise be able to go.

JOURNEY INTO FAITH – How to become a Catholic or know more about the Catholic Faith: Wednesdays at 2.30pm in the Presbytery.
PARISH RECONCILIATION SERVICE takes place at North Walsham on this coming Saturday at 11.00am. There will be a number of visiting priests available for confessions. It is an excellent way of preparing for Christmas. Perhaps you have never been to one of these Services before – then why not come along this Saturday. There will be a similar Service at St Joseph’s catholic Church, Sheringham on the following Saturday (14th) at 11.00am.
PARISH CHILDREN’S CHRISTMAS PARTY is on Sunday 22nd December at 4.00 – 6.00pm in the parish hall at North Walsham, following the Parish Carol Service (3pm). Parents: Names of children should be in a.s.a.p. – LIST IN THE PORCH.
