Today is The Solemnity of The Most Holy Body & Blood of Christ (Corpus Christi). Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction will be held at 4.00pm – 5.00pm in the Sacred Heart Church. Pope Francis will also be spending an hour in prayer before the Blessed Sacrament at the same time in Rome and has asked all Catholic parishes to do the same. This is part of the “Year of Faith” celebrations.
Next Friday is our parish Patronal Feast Day, The Most Sacred Heart of Jesus: the usual Friday abstinence (going without meat) is dispensed with for that Solemnity. Mass is celebrated at North Walsham at 7.00pm and Fr David hopes that as many as possible from our three churches can join the celebration: refreshments will be served in the church after the Mass. Do try to come along.
SENIOR CITIZENS’ GROUP meets Monday 3rd June: am – Informal; pm – A Talk & Presentation on ‘OWLS’ (with live birds) by Sandra. Everybody welcome.
Senior Citizens’ Pilgrimage to Walsingham, accompanied by Fr David and Deacon Ron, will take place on Monday 17th June. Seats available on coach (£5); for anyone who would like to join us, please add your name to the list in the porch at NW. This is for the whole parish but the coach can only pick up from NW: it will be leaving at 10.15am and will leave Walsingham for the return at 3pm, arriving back in NW at around 4pm.
SUPPORT CAMBODIA All are invited to the Open Meeting at St Helen’s this Saturday 8th June at 10.30am for an update on how we are continuing to support our twin parish; sale of Cambodian Crafts & refreshments: details on 01263 577784.
CAMBODIA PARISH VISIT 2014 The next Parish visit to Cambodia will take place in January 2014, probably 14th – 31st. Anyone interested please contact Bob Maidment on 01263 577784 as soon as possible.

READERS & EUCHRISTIC MINISTERS: there will be a Day of Reflection on Saturday 7th September from 10.30am – 3.30pm. Please put it in your diaries as all Readers and Eucharistic Ministers are expected to attend such an annual day.

HENRY WHISENANT’S ORDINATION takes place in the Cathedral, Norwich on Saturday 6th July at 12noon. A coach will pick up from Aylsham 9.40 am; from North Walsham 10.05am and from Hoveton 10.30am; Please sign list at the back of the church: the £4 cost will be collected beforehand. For those wishing to travel independently, please remember there is No Parking at the Cathedral except for Blue Badge holders who should contact the Cathedral directly (01603 728935) and make sure that on the day they have the Blue Badge to hand.
