A WARM WELCOME TO ANY VISITORS who may be with us this weekend,  staying with family and friends or just here on holiday: we hope you have an enjoyable time here in beautiful North Norfolk.  You are welcome to stay for coffee after our weekend Masses and meet some of our parishioners.

THE ROSARY (North Walsham) The Rosary will be said at 10.30am prior to Mass during the Sundays of May.  Those who would like to lead the Rosary please sign the list in the porch.  There are similar arrangements for Aylsham & Hoveton. Leaflets on how to pray the Rosary are available – 30p each; proceeds to Cambodia.

N.B.  There is no 9.30 am Mass on Monday (Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham), nor at Aylsham on Friday (Cambodia-style Mass at 7.00pm that day in Aylsham). Also, no Saturday morning Mass as Fr David will be at the prison.

DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO WALSINGHAM – tomorrow Bank Holiday Monday 5th May. Coach to pick up from: Hoveton at 9.30am,  North Walsham at 9.50am and Aylsham at 10.15am., arriving at the Shrine at 11.15am.  Please be punctual as the coach cannot wait for latecomers. Departure for return journey 5.00pm. Cost – £5 will be collected on boarding the coach: please bring a packed lunch. Those travelling independently are to be at the Friday Market Place by 12noon. Please see poster for the day’s programme.

SENIOR CITIZENS’ GRP: no meeting tomorrow it being the Bank Holiday.

SUPPORT CAMBODIA PLANT SALE – Saturday 17th May (NW) from 10.30am onwards.  This event is a great opportunity to raise much-needed funds from the wider community: please help us to promote the sale by showing the enclosed leaflet to friends or displaying it in your local shop or any other prominent place. Your support is much appreciated.

LEGACY BOOKMARK  The enclosed bookmark is about considering leaving a legacy to the parish.  Father David will say a few words on this at the end of Mass.

NEXT SUNDAY is World Day of Prayer for Vocations and there will be a 2nd collection for “Priests’ Training Fund”.  Envelopes for this collection are available today with a section to fill in for those who wish to gift aid.

EVENSONG – at Heydon Parish Church on Sunday 11th May at 5pm.  It is an ecumenical service at which Fr David will be preaching.  Light refreshments available following the service.  All from the area are welcome.

AGM  (Churches Together in Aylsham) – will be held in the Jubilee Centre on Sunday 11th May at 3.00pm.  All are welcome.

CHRISTIAN AID – North Walsham -Thursday 15th May: please ring 01692 404822 if you would like to take part. (Until 9th May you are asked to leave your name and telephone number on the answer machine which will be answered): alternatively ring mobile no 0790 3244658.

OUR FAREWELL TO FATHER DAVID is on Sunday 18th May at 12noon, following the morning Mass at North Walsham; there will be a “Bring and Share” buffet lunch in the parish hall for us to say farewell to Fr David.

QUIZ & CHIPS at St John of the Cross, Aylsham is on Saturday 24th May at 6.30pm.  Tickets £6 – proceeds go to the Roof Fund; numbers by Sunday 18th May please.

CHILDREN’S PILGRIMAGE TO WALSINGHAM is on Tuesday 27th  May, during the school half-term holiday.  Procession from the village starts at 10.45am: Mass is at 12noon in the Chapel of Reconciliation followed by a picnic in the meadows.  Hopefully the day ends on the beach at nearby Wells-Next-The -Sea.  There is no coach as many wish to travel in their own cars.

DIOCESAN CELEBRATION OF MARRIAGE & FAMILY LIFE  St John’s Cathedral, Norwich on Saturday 21st June at 11.00am; details to follow.

DIOCESAN PILGRIMAGE TO LOURDES 2014 led by Bishop Alan is on 22nd to 29th August. Pl see poster on notice board: to book or for more information email clivebrooks1936@talktalk.net  or ring 01206 396319.

DIOCESAN SUMMER CAMPS 2014 at Eccles Hall, Norfolk (supported by the Catholic Women’s League) from Friday 29th August to Monday 1st September for applicants 8-14 yrs: cost £75.  For further information/application forms, available from the presbytery or ring Christine Storman on 01603 713390.

A watch was found a few weeks ago at  the Sacred Heart Church.  See Fr David.

We pray  for all those whose anniversaries occur at this time, including Emily Joan Gray, John Henry Russell, Margery Winifred Ruth Huxtable, Anne Elizabeth Kelly, Marjorie Reynolds and Christopher Ralph Smith.
May they rest in peace. Amen.

The Funeral Mass for Doff Pooler will take place in Nottingham this Wednesday at 1.00pm.  Fr David is presiding at the Mass.
