Dear Friends,
The image of the shepherd who faithfully tends his sheep has a long history in the Bible. In today’s Gospel reading Jesus identifies himself as the good shepherd who leads his flock. We listen to his voice and trustingly follow him wherever he leads us.

This weekend there will be a Second Collection for the Diocesan Priests’ Training Fund.
Diocesan Pilgrimage to Walsingham – Tuesday 31st May 2022. If you wish to travel on the coach, please add your names and those of any children you are accompanying to the COACH LISTS now in our church porches as soon as possible, as we need to know numbers to book the size of coach; £5 per adult seat, collected on the coach.
The coach picks up from: Hoveton at 9.30am; North Walsham at 9.50am and Aylsham at 10.15am arriving in Walsingham at 11.15am. See the Day’s Programme on the notice board.
The Pilgrimage will be led by Bishop Alan. Mass is at 12.00 noon and at 3.00pm there will be the procession to the Priory Grounds followed by Benediction (or one can be taken there by coach); at 4.30pm coaches leave the Priory to make the return journey home.
The Children’s Pilgrimage to Walsingham takes place on the same day Tuesday 31st May also led by Bishop Alan. The aim will still be to give our children a special and memorable time. See poster for details. Please make sure the children’s names are on the list mentioned above if wishing to travel on the coach.
Holy Hour & Eucharistic Adoration is on Thursdays at St Helen’s at 3pm – a time for quiet reflection, meditation and contemplation.
Looking for a volunteer at St Helen’s. From the beginning of May until the end of September for many years at St Helen’s we have offered tea/coffee and biscuits after the Saturday Mass to our visitors and regular Mass goers. We are now looking for a volunteer to step in and take over this job. Is there anyone who would be able to help? It is just half an hour or so. Please let one of the stewards know if you can help. Thank you.
Aylsham Churches Together (ACT) has set up a support group for those hosting or hoping to host Ukrainian refugees, working with a Christian group in Felixstowe (Ukraine 2 Felixstowe) helping to match refugees with hosts. (Naomi Perone is the Parish rep on this ACT group). As there may be the opportunity to work together with the Felixstowe group the next stage is to collect more information from those who are considering hosting. An online form has been set up for this https://forms.gle/PcRtWy7LKci66RPr8 We have been asked to forward this to those in our parish who are considering hosting. www.renewaleastanglia.org/future-events See leaflet.
