During Holy Week our whole parish has come together for the three days that make up the Triduum: – Thursday evening, Friday afternoon and Saturday evening. Today, thanks to the kind help of Father Denys Lloyd, each community can celebrate the resurrection of the Lord. The Gospel reading shows how unexpected an event it was – amazement, confusion – ‘they have taken the Lord out of the tomb, and we don’t know where they have put him’. Congratulations and welcome to James Ellis and Adam Guscott who were baptised at the Easter Vigil and Carol Weyman who was received into full communion of the Church.

Young people in Year 8 upwards are invited to the Ignite Festival organised by the diocesan youth service. It will take place at Swaffham over the weekend 30th April – 1st May with a pilgrimage walk on 2nd May to Walsingham.
Every Sunday from 10.30am Faithful Flames Children’s Group meets in the parish hall at the Sacred Heart – for all children up to the age of 16. Would be great to see you! Kerry – 0750 4048352.
The Children’s Pilgrimage to Walsingham takes place on Tuesday 31st May 2022 led by Bishop Alan. Owing to the Queen’s Jubilee celebrations the annual Diocesan Pilgrimage has been moved to the same date as the Children’s Pilgrimage; the aim will still be to give our children a special and memorable time. Please see poster for details. Lists will be available later.
A Farewell Mass organised by the secular Franciscans will be held at St George’s, Norwich, on Thursday 21st April at 12noon to mark the departure of Rob and Clare Hardie for New Zealand. All are welcome.
Thank you all for your generous donations to the CAFOD Family Fast Day this Lent. Our parish raised a fantastic £1,298.77!
