“One word frees us of all the weight and pain of life: that word is love.”
The 5th Sunday of Easter Year C focuses on the growth of the early Church and Jesus’ command to love one another. These readings highlight the importance of faith, community and the promise of a new heaven and earth. The readings invite us to reflect on the transformative power of love and the promise of new beginnings. At the heart of these readings is Jesus’ new commandment: “Love one another as I have loved you.”
