| FROM THE PARISH PRIEST Tuesday Masses: Over the next three weeks, the Tuesday Mass at Sacred Heart will be somewhat disrupted as I am not in the parish for one of them and I have a cremation and a funeral (in Cambridge) on the other two Tuesdays. I hope to celebrate an evening Mass at Sacred Heart on the Tuesdays when I am able to be here, rather than simply cancelling the Mass altogether. Please keep an eye on the newsletter for the most up to date Mass times. I anticipate the times to look as follows – Tuesday 21st July – no Mass, Tuesday 28 July – 6pm Mass, Tuesday 04 August – 6pm Mass. I am hoping that the evening Mass times may stimulate people who are not able to attend Mass in the daytime to be able to come and attend Mass on these days. Nuptial Joy: It is with great pleasure and joy that we celebrated the Wedding of Bridget Holmes and William Saddington at St Helen’s Hoveton on Saturday afternoon (18 July). Bridget is very well known to the St Helen’s community having grown up in that parish. It was a truly joyful and happy ceremony and we offer Bridget and William our prayers and good wishes for the future. Beetle Drive: Please come and support our Beetle Drive on Friday evening (24th July) at 6:30pm. Parish events are an important part of the life of a parish for building community, diminishing loneliness and creating a spirit of togetherness. These events also raise money for the parish. Please do come and support the parish on Friday and enjoy a bit of harmless fun. | |
| Beetle Drive this week: Please come and join us at the next Parish Beetle Drive on Friday 24th July at 6.30pm. This is an ideal opportunity to meet people in the parish as teams are inter-changeable and the whole idea is to have fun. This is a game that everyone can play and all ages are welcome. If you are able to provide an item for the raffle this would be most welcome. Only £5.00 per person for a really good evening! Reading at Mass at North Walsham: We are always glad to welcome new readers on to the rota. If you have an interest in joining the regular participants, please mention it to us. We will support you as you begin this Sacred ministry. | Pop-Up Supper: On Saturday 5 September there will be a PopUp Supper in Thorpe Market to support the work of the SVP. Here’s what you need to do: Book a place (or a table), choose your menu, come along at 6pm and enjoy your supper with everyone else. At the end of the evening, you’re invited to make a cash donation anonymously (envelope provided) of what you think it was worth/what you can afford. There will also be a KnickKnack Tombola! To make a booking send a text or WhatsApp to Naomi on 07483 875643 and full info will follow. Book soon as places are limited! |
