Dear Friends,
During Eastertide we celebrate the Risen Christ. We hear about the different ways in which Jesus met with his disciples. Today’s Gospel describes two appearances of the Lord after his resurrection and the reactions of the Apostles. Thomas wants to touch the Lord as well as to see him. When he does he makes his own distinctive and uncompromising act of faith.
A big Thank You to all who helped to make the Holy Week liturgies so beautiful: servers, readers, stewards, choir, flower-arrangers, cleaners and the sacristan. Thank you too for your Easter offering. I am always touched by your generosity.
I shall be in Liverpool for a short break from 22nd to 29th April. We welcome Father Denys Lloyd who will be here this weekend to celebrate the three Masses.
