A WARM WELCOME TO ANY VISITORS who may be with us this weekend, staying with family and friends or just here on holiday: we hope you have an enjoyable time in beautiful North Norfolk. You are welcome to stay for coffee after our weekend Masses and meet some of our parishioners.
We warmly welcome Fr James Walsh to our parish, this weekend as a visiting priest but shortly to be our own Parish Priest installed the weekend of 13th/14th September.
TODAY, SUNDAY, (Bank Holiday weekend) the Riverside Service – “Songs of Praise”, arranged by the local churches, is at Hoveton Staithe at 3.30 pm. Do join us to boost our Christian witness. This is a service to which you can invite family and friends to come along. If it rains the service will move to St Helen’s.

NEXT SUNDAY (31st) To show our appreciation of the joyful and inspiring ministry, albeit short, we have received from Fr Michael during the interregnum, we are all invited to join him in the Parish Hall for Lunch after the 11.00am Sunday Mass. Please bring something to share for a first or second course. Drinks will be provided.
ST HELEN’S 4TH WEDNESDAY CLUB for senior citizens takes place this month on 27th August. Coffee served at 11.30am, lunch at 12.30pm followed by games and social activities. We have a free raffle and finish with tea and cake at 4.00pm. The all inclusive cost is £2.00. All over 60’s welcome.
THE DOWRY OF MARY PILGRIMAGE, WALSINGHAM is on Sunday 7th September and will be led by Bishop Alan Hopes (Bishop of East Anglia). 11.30am Reception of Flags; 12 noon Mass; 3.15pm the Procession to the Priory Grounds for Benediction & Prayers at the Original Shrine Site.

SPONSORED BIKE RIDE & WALK (Norfolk Churches Trust) will be on Saturday 13th September from 9am – 5pm. JIM BYRNEwill again be taking part in the cycle ride. He is looking for sponsors and will be outside the church this weekend. Let’s support this intrepid member of our parish!
