NEWSLETTER 24.08.25

22/08/2025 by John

“He who created us without our help will not save us without our consent.”

The 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time Year C invites us to keep walking  with God, even when the road is hard. God is calling all people to come and share His joy.

As Jesus continues his final journey to Jerusalem prepared for His suffering, and death, he responds to a question asking how many will be saved by answering the unasked and more important questions,  “How best does one enter into salvation and how urgent is it that one strive to enter now, before the Master closes the door?  Instead of asking how many will be saved, Jesus wants us to ask ourselves, “Am I prepared to be saved, choosing the narrow gate of sacrificial agape love and so loving others as Jesus loves them?”

Fr. Peter

Our Annual Mass in the Garden of Remembrance  (at North Walsham) is on Tuesday, 26th August at 6.00pm. Everyone is welcome but especially those who have their loved one’s ashes buried there. If it is wet, Mass will be held in the church.  Please pass on the details of this important Summer event to all you know would wish to be present. Please may we have volunteers to help set up the seating (at around 5.30pm) in good time for the Mass.
