26th Week in Ordinary Time 2020
27th September – 3rd October
Today we focus on the second Mass reading. It includes a beautiful and profound hymn which expresses the emptying out and glorification of Christ articulating in a powerful way the heart of the mystery of Christ.
This year Family Fast Day is on Friday the 9th of October. Although this is a difficult time for us, our families and our parishes, CAFOD encourages us to look beyond our immediate situation to communities across the world, many of whom have far less in the way of resources than we do. This is an opportunity for Christians everywhere to unite in solidarity with the poorest and most vulnerable people and communities in the world helping them to survive, rebuild and heal. As in previous years we are asked to eat less on Family Fast Day and to bring what we save to church on the following Sunday. You can also simply make a donation to CAFOD. Donation envelopes will be given out this weekend.
We are looking for bicycles for a group of asylum seekers. If you have one to spare please let me know.
