A WARM WELCOME TO ANY VISITORS who may be with us this weekend, staying with family and friends or just here on holiday: we hope you have an enjoyable time in beautiful North Norfolk. You are welcome to stay for coffee after our weekend Masses and meet some of our parishioners.
MASS TIMES (A Reminder) On Thursdays at 9.30am in North Walsham there will now always be Liturgy of the Word & Holy Communion followed by Exposition until 10.15am.
CAFOD Harvest Fast Day is on this coming Friday (3rd October). What we save by “going without” on Friday we are invited to put in the CAFOD envelope (distributed today as you leave Mass) for next weekend’s Second Collection.
HARVEST THANKSGIVING will be celebrated in our Masses next weekend. At Aylsham and North Walsham parishioners are invited to bring items for the Offertory Proxcession. NO plastic bags please, so that we adorn the church with God’s bounty – and not that of local supermarkets!! Perishable items will be sold after Mass for CAFOD; store cupboard items will go to the Food Bank.
To welcome Father James socially we are holding a reception next Sunday, 5th October in the Parish Hall following the 11.00am Mass: drinks will be provided. Please bring finger food to share. Everyone is welcome – it would be lovely if parishioners from our three churches could come along for the occasion.
CONFIRMATION 2015 The first meeting will take place this Sunday 28th September at 4.00pm in the Sacred Heart Parish Hall, North Walsham. Candidates should be 14 plus years old. THE ROSARY will be said before Mass each Sunday in October; at 10.30 am at the Sacred Heart; at 8.30am at St John’s and prior to Mass at St Helen’s at 5.00pm each Saturday. Volunteers to lead the Rosary at the Sacred Heart are invited to sign the sheet at the back of the church. There are also leaflets on how to pray the Rosary, available for purchase.
SENIOR CITIZENS’ GROUP meets on Monday (29th): am – Computer Workshop: pm – Bingo.
HARVEST SUPPERS:
At St John of the Cross (Aylsham) at 7.00pm on Saturday 4th October. You will be served a ploughmans or quiche and dessert. Please bring your own drinks; tea/coffee provided. £7: proceeds go to the Roof Fund.
