“Your actions, in passing, pass not away, for every good work is a grain of seed for eternal life.”
On this twenty-sixth Sunday of ordinary time, the church calls us to be just and work for eternal life. Hence, she encourages us to be dedicated and active in the “good fight of faith until the coming of the Lord.”
All the readings of this Sunday are continuations of the readings of last Sunday. They centre on the day of God’s judgment. Most importantly, they point to the end of the unjust, the triumph and comfort of the poor and just.
